Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie

Founder of Herbal Somatics, Clinical Herbalist, Aromatherapist, & Yoga Teacher

Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie is a clinical herbalist and certified aromatherapist. She earned a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in functional nutrition, and also a PhD in natural medicine with a specialization in naturopathic psychology.

She's published two books, The Trauma Informed Herbalist and Essential Oils for Trauma. She helped create research for UAB Hospital’s Integrative Medicine clinic, and also works as a yoga teacher and wellness practitioner. 

Elizabeth’s personal experiences led her to begin studying trauma and its effects on the body and mind. Now she helps others learn how natural wellness can be safely implemented as part of a trauma recovery journey.
