Dr. Brenda Krulikowski

Director of Herbalism/Faculty/Ayurvedic Doctor at California College of Ayurveda

Dr. Brenda Krulikowski is a director of herbalism, an Ayurvedic doctor, and a faculty member at California College of Ayurveda. As director of the college's herbal pharmacy, she's committed to sustainability, offering the highest quality medicines to practitioners and their patients. For over 15 years she's been running the 9-month herbal apprenticeship program at CCA, guiding students to gain confidence in both cultivation and preparation of a wide variety of medicines. As part of the apprenticeship program, she manages an herbal teaching garden with over 85 medicinal plants from around the world.

Brenda shares her rich knowledge base with humor and a deep reverence for the plants. She holds Ayurvedic doctor and Panchakarma specialist certifications and has spent time in India studying to deepen her knowledge of women's health and herbalism, which is her specialty. She is passionately dedicated to supporting her patients' healing at all levels of mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Marc Halpern

Ayurvedic Doctor, Founder of California College of Ayurveda & Co-Founder of AyBo

Dr. Marc Halpern is founder and president of the California College of Ayurveda, the oldest school of Ayurvedic medicine in the U.S. A doctor of chiropractic and an Ayurvedic doctor, he's a leader in the development of Ayurvedic medicine in the West. As co-founder of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine, he has played an important role in building the infrastructure of Ayurveda in the U.S.

Marc has written five textbooks, including his newest book Classical Yoga Therapy. He's also written the popular book Healing Your Life: Lessons on the Path of Ayurveda... and recorded Yoga Nidra and Self Healing, the #1 bestselling meditation CD in the U.S. He's co-authored several published original research papers in the field of Ayurvedic dermatology, and has received awards for his service to Ayurveda both in India and the U.S.

Marc's been a keynote speaker at numerous national and international conferences worldwide, including the International Conference on Integrative Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also spoke before the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine on behalf of Ayurveda in the 1990s.

Marc is one of just a few Westerners who have been recognized in India as experts in the field of Ayurveda.
