Vaidya Jayarajan Kodikannath is an Ayurvedic doctor from India, and an internationally renowned Ayurvedic scholar, author, researcher, and educator with over two decades of Ayurvedic clinical experience in India and the U.S. He is currently the CEO and academy director of Kerala Ayurveda USA, and president of National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).
Under his leadership, Kerala Ayurveda USA recently received a Top Alternative Medicine Company 2023 award from Pharma Tech Outlook. His recently published research reviews an herbal composition which received a U.S. patent for the management of metabolic syndrome disorders such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, and lipid profiles. He's author of an award-winning book on parenting called The Parent's Complete Guide to Ayurveda: Principles, Practices, and Recipes for Happy, Healthy Kids (2022).
For over 10 years he served as chief medical officer of Ayurvedagram, an internationally reputed heritage wellness resort in Bangalore, India, before he moved to the U.S. in 2011. “Dr. J,” as his students affectionately call him, is a compassionate healer and educator, devoted to the mission of propagating the consciousness-based practice of Ayurveda across the globe. He lives in the San Francisco bay area with his family, and is committed to imparting the traditional teachings of Kerala’s Ayurveda to the world.
