Skin Care as Self Care: From the Inside Out and the Outside In
Herbal medicine helps us nourish and heal the magical outer layer of ourselves that we call our skin. Our skin holds us in, and it creates the natural boundary that tells us where we, as individuals, begin and end. Yet our skin is porous and highly sensitive to sensation, so our skin provides a portal to an intimate connection with others. Robin Rose Bennett explores the gifts that oats, calendula, plantain, St John’s wort, burdock, and red clover offer us for our skin care/self-care.
In this session, you’ll discover:
- Skin health is an extension of internal health, and you can use herbs to nourish both
- Skin care practices help you tune in and tend to your needs and deepen intimacy with yourself and others
- How to use herbs for first aid
